JEMScN-2026: Complete M.Sc. Nursing Entrance Exam & Admission Guide
Overview
  • The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) conducts the OMR-based Common Entrance Examination JEMScN-2026 for admission into M.Sc. Nursing programs in West Bengal institutions for the academic session 2026–27.
  • The exam is held in Kolkata only, at the Salt Lake/New Town zone.
  • Admission is based on merit rank, choice filling, and document verification.

Application Process
  • Apply online at www.wbjeeb.nic.in or www.wbjeeb.in.
  • Enter mandatory details: Name, parent’s names, DOB, domicile, mobile number, and valid email ID.
  • Primary fields (Name, Parents’ names, DOB, Domicile) cannot be edited after submission.
  • Application Fee: ₹3,000 (non-refundable) + bank charges via Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card, UPI, or QR Code.
  • Download and preserve the Confirmation Page; application is incomplete without it.
  • A correction window is available for non-primary fields; no changes allowed after the deadline.

Eligibility Criteria
  • Candidates must have passed one of the following from an Indian Nursing Council-recognized institute and hold RNRM registration from any State Nursing Council:
  • B.Sc. Nursing
  • B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing
  • Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing
  • Post Basic B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing
  • Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (Distance Education)
  • Minimum aggregate: 55% marks in the qualifying examination.

  • Counseling sequence is based solely on GMR.
Tie-Breaking Rules (in order): Higher marks in Part-B → Fewer negative marks overall → Fewer negative marks in Part-B → Fewer negative marks in Part-A → Older candidate (by DOB) → Earlier application number.

PwD Candidates
  • Eligibility: 40–50% locomotor disability in lower limbs.
  • Verification: Mandatory physical verification at IPGMER, Kolkata on a notified date.
  • Facilities: 40% fee concession, 20 minutes extra time per hour, own scribe allowed (10+2 qualified maximum), special exam center in Kolkata.
  • Application: Submit written request with PwD certificate, confirmation page, Appendix-1 (Medical Certificate), and Appendix-2 (Scribe Undertaking) to WBJEEB at least 60 days before exam.
Document Verification
  • Verification is conducted by the allotted institute during counseling/admission.
  • The Board does not verify documents; admission is based on candidate-submitted data.
  • False information leads to candidature cancellation even after rank/seat allotment.
  • Invalid category claims result in reversion to General category.
  • No appeal is accepted after verification.
