What is JEXPO Exam (Now)?
The West Bengal State Council earlier conducted the JEXPO entrance exam for admission to first‑year diploma courses in Engineering, Technology and Architecture. That offline exam has now been discontinued.
From 2025–26, admission to first‑year polytechnic/diploma courses in West Bengal is done via a centralised merit list of Class 10 marks for all registered candidates, followed by online counselling and seat allotment.
JEXPO 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must satisfy the basic conditions prescribed by the council before filling the JEXPO 2026 form.
Basic Eligibility (as per latest pattern)
- Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen.
- Age limit: No upper age limit. For 2026 admission, the candidate’s date of birth should not be after 01 July 2010 (exact cutoff to be confirmed in official brochure).
- Educational Qualification: Passed or appearing in Class 10 (Madhyamik or equivalent) with Science/Physical Science and Mathematics from a recognised Board/Council/Institute.
- Minimum marks: At least 35% aggregate in Class 10 (overall or as specified – typically including English, Physical Science/Science and Mathematics).

The entire application process for JEXPO 2026 will be conducted online only; no offline forms or cash payments are accepted.
Steps to Fill JEXPO 2026 Application Form
- Visit the official JEXPO admission portal: scvtwb.in (polytechnic section).
- Click on “New Registration” and enter basic personal details (name, mobile number, email ID, DOB, etc.).
- Note down the generated application number and password sent to your registered email/mobile.
- Login and fill in personal, contact and academic details (Class 10 board, year, subjects, marks/grades, etc.).
- Upload scanned photograph and signature in the prescribed size and format.
- Pay the application fee online via Net Banking / Debit Card / Credit Card / UPI.
- Submit the form and download/print the confirmation page for future reference.
JEXPO 2026 Merit List & Result
The council will release JEXPO 2026 result in the form of an online merit list on the official website.

- Merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained in the qualifying exam (Class 10), as per rules notified by the council.
- The merit list PDF carries candidate details and rank; candidates may also get an individual rank card via login using enrolment/application number.
- In case of tie (same marks), a tie‑breaking formula is applied (for example, higher marks in Mathematics/Science or older age, etc., as per official rules).
