What does a Transportation Specialist do?

The ROC is the “nerve center” of Amazon’s transportation network. As a Specialist, you will:

  • Manage Logistics Flow: Facilitate information between carriers, hubs, and warehouses to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
  • Operations Support: Work across Inbound (Vendor/Carrier relationships) and Outbound (Amazon sites to customer delivery) verticals.
  • Problem Solving: Address disruptions like weather impacts, rescheduling, or in-transit issues.
  • Communication: Coordinate with external drivers and internal business teams to meet Amazon’s “Customer Promise.”

Eligibility Criteria

  • Education: Any Undergraduate (18+), Graduate, or Post-Graduate degree.
  • Skills: * Strong English communication (Verbal and Written) is a must.
    • Basic proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
    • Basic understanding of Logistics/Supply Chain is a plus.
  • Flexibility: Must be comfortable working in rotational shifts to support North America (NA) and Europe (EU) time zones.
