Deloitte Support Services India Private Limited is hiring an Analyst for the Accounting & Controllership (A&C) team within Global Finance Services (GFS). This role is based in Hyderabad and focuses on managing complex operational and transactional accounting activities to ensure accurate financial recording.

Role Overview

- Objective: To record all relevant transactions into the General Ledger (GL) periodically and support finance operations with timely reporting.
Key Responsibilities
As an Analyst supporting the GFS A&C team, your daily focus will include:
- Journal Entries: Preparing and posting complex journal entries (JE) and conducting expense research.
- Reconciliations: Preparing Balance Sheet reconciliations for associated Member Firms.
- Period Close: Performing Period End close activities and ensuring trial balances are appropriately reconciled.
- Member Firm Support: Providing daily support activities and ensuring all tasks meet defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Quality Control: Executing activities on a “first time right” basis according to defined process guidelines.
Required Skills & Competencies
The team seeks candidates with a strong foundation in Record-to-Report (RTR) processes and general accounting:
- Accounting Knowledge: Deep understanding of accounting principles, including accrual-based and prepaid accounting.
- Process Expertise: Familiarity with RTR Period End Close and Balance Sheet Reconciliation procedures.
- Analytical Skills: Skilled at working with numbers and performing detailed financial analysis.
- Precision: Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and quality in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
- GL Proficiency: Experience with General Ledger reconciliations and understanding entry impacts across different account types.
About the Team
The A&C team provides critical internal control and general accounting support. They manage the completion of period-end procedures and ensure that general ledger balances are accurate across various business units.
