ANMR GNM-2026: Complete Nursing Entrance Exam & Admission Guide
Overview
  • The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) conducts the OMR-based Common Entrance Examination ANMR GNM-2026 for admission into two-year Auxiliary Nursing & Midwifery (Revised) and three-year General Nursing & Midwifery courses.
  • Admission is offered in Government, Private, and Self-financed institutions across West Bengal for the academic session 2026–27.
  • The selection process includes a written entrance exam followed by document verification and counselling.

  • Life Science: Human Anatomy, Physiology, Nutrition, Diseases, First Aid, Community Health.
  • Physical Science: Physics (Motion, Heat, Light, Electricity), Chemistry (Matter, Atoms, Reactions, Acids/Bases).
  • Basic English: Grammar, Vocabulary, Comprehension, Sentence Correction.
  • Mathematics: Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration, Statistics.
  • General Knowledge: Current Affairs, Indian History, Geography, Polity, Science & Tech.
  • Logical Reasoning: Series, Analogies, Coding-Decoding, Blood Relations, Direction Sense.

  • Apply online at www.wbjeeb.nic.in or www.wbjeeb.in.
  • Use a valid mobile number and unique email ID; all communications are sent to these.
  • Primary details (Name, Parents’ names, DOB, Domicile) cannot be edited after submission.
  • Upload recent photo (10–200 KB) and signature (4–30 KB) in JPG/JPEG format.

Admit Card
  • Download from official website on notified date.
  • Carry a printed copy, a colored photograph (as uploaded), and a valid photo ID (Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, etc.) to the exam center.
  • No electronic devices, calculators, or written materials allowed.
Evaluation & Result
  • Model Answer Keys published after exam; challenges accepted online at ₹500 per question (non-refundable).
  • Final keys published; OMR images and responses made available temporarily.
  • Rank Cards issued individually; no public rank list is released.
  • General Merit Rank (GMR) used for counselling; tie-breakers: fewer negative marks, higher subject marks, older DOB, earlier application.
Counselling & Admission
  • Counselling notification released after results; seat matrix published before choice filling.
  • Admission based on merit, choice, and document verification at the allotted institute.
  • Appearing in the exam or securing a rank does not guarantee admission.
PwD Facilities
  • Eligible for reservation: PwD candidates with 40–50% locomotor disability in lower limbs.
  • Benefits: 40% fee concession, compensatory time (20 minutes per hour), scribe facility.
  • Apply in writing to Chairman, WBJEEB, at least 60 days before exam with required certificates.
