Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for Ubuntu and open-source products from your home office.
• Take ownership of cases via telephone, email, and web; resolve or escalate as needed.
• Ensure each support case meets Service Level Agreements with high customer satisfaction.
• Contribute to and maintain knowledge base articles for shared learning.
• Draft technical notices for internal and external communication.
• Prioritize work and adapt quickly to product and service evolution.
• Participate in weekend rotations and biannual team events.

Eligibility Criteria

• Undergraduate degree in a technical subject (Computer Science, MIS, Electrical Engineering, etc.) or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Linux troubleshooting, logs, and configuration tuning.
• Knowledge of at least 2 of the following: Linux server administration, programming fundamentals, networking, virtualization/cloud computing.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Result-oriented, adaptable, and able to thrive in a global, remote environment.
• Willingness to travel internationally twice a year for team events.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience supporting virtualized environments (KVM, VirtualBox, VMware).
• Experience with open-source desktop technologies.
• Active contribution to open-source projects, forums, or code.
