Role Overview
L&T is seeking professionals with electrical design expertise for industrial and process plants, steel plants, raw material handling systems, and power generation units.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Design – Manager / Engineer
Execute Basic & Detailed Electrical Engineering for Industrial/Process Plants, Steel Plants, Coal Handling Plants, Mines, Ports, and Metal Industry.
Design Electrical Power Distribution Systems, perform load calculations, and select appropriate electrical equipment.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and safety practices.
Oversee electrical design for projects with an emphasis on power generation and industrial processes.
Electrical Designer – Draftsman / Modeller
Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), Cable Tray Layouts, Lighting Layouts, Earthing & Lightning Protection Layouts.
Create layouts for Fire Alarm, Public Address Systems, CCTV, and auxiliary power DB schedules.
Develop Material Take-Off (MTO) lists, Electrical BOQs, and Light Lux Calculations (Dialux / Manual).
Use 3D software like Revit-MEP & AVEVA-E3D for modelling (preferred).
Follow department procedures, practices, and electrical engineering standards.
