We are hiring an experienced Senior SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) for our Technology, Analytics & Digital Banking division in Chennai.

This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in automation testing, manual testing, CI/CD pipelines, and database validation across web, mobile, and API platforms.

🔍 Job Overview

The Senior SDET will be responsible for ensuring high-quality software delivery by designing, executing, and maintaining comprehensive testing strategies. The role covers automation testing, manual testing, database validation, and continuous integration pipelines.

🎯 Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to ensure software quality across web, mobile, and API platforms by identifying defects early, improving test coverage, and enhancing overall product reliability.

The Senior SDET will work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing applications.

📌 Roles & Responsibilities

1. Test Planning & Design

• Develop comprehensive test plans based on business and technical requirements
• Design and document test cases for web, mobile, API, and database testing
• Collaborate with development teams to understand system architecture

2. Automation Testing

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, Appium, or similar tools
• Execute automated test suites and analyze results
• Identify opportunities to improve automation coverage and efficiency

3. Manual Testing

• Perform functional, regression, and performance testing
• Document and report defects with detailed reproduction steps
• Conduct exploratory testing to identify edge cases

4. Web, Mobile & API Testing

• Execute end-to-end testing for web and mobile applications
• Validate REST and API integrations
• Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility

5. Continuous Integration

• Design and maintain CI pipelines for automated testing
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD workflows
• Optimize CI processes for speed and reliability

6. Database Testing

• Write and execute SQL queries for data validation
• Validate data transformations and migrations
• Identify database performance and integrity issues

7. Collaboration & Documentation

• Work closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning
• Maintain detailed testing documentation and reports

• Strong experience in automation and manual testing
• Hands-on expertise with Selenium, Appium, or similar tools
• Experience testing web, mobile, and API applications
• Strong SQL skills for database testing
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration
• Understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
