Job responsibilities
- Operate and monitor manufacturing machines such as screen printing, injection molding, or finishing equipment.
- Set up machines for production runs and ensure proper calibration.
- Follow work orders, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality standards.
- Load raw materials and unload finished parts or components.
- Perform in-process quality checks on products for defects or inconsistencies.
- Report and isolate defective items immediately.
- Clean, lubricate, and perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Report mechanical issues to maintenance teams.
- Maintain accurate logs of machine operation, production quantity, defects, and downtime.
- Fill out shift reports and handover notes.
- Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report hazards or incidents promptly to supervisors.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free from obstructions.
- Follow 5S practices (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
- Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and quality control staff to meet production targets.
- Support co-workers as needed, including during shift changes or increased workloads.
Required Skills
- Machine Operation Skills
- Ability to operate machinery like screen printers, injection molding, or finishing equipment.
- Knowledge of machine setup, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Quality Control Knowledge
- Understanding of basic inspection techniques.
- Ability to detect visual and dimensional defects.
- Basic Mechanical Aptitude
- Comfort with handling tools and machine parts.
- Ability to perform minor maintenance or adjustments.
- Understanding of Production Processes
- Familiarity with batch processing, work orders, and manufacturing timelines.
- Documentation Skills
- Ability to fill in production sheets, defect logs, and maintenance records accurately.
