Job Description

The Directorate of Lighthouses and Lightships (DGLL), Goa, under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, has announced vacancies for Technician (Diesel) and Navigational Assistant Grade-III. These are permanent Central Government positions offering a handsome salary package under the 7th CPC.

Vacancy & Eligibility Criteria

1. Technician (Diesel) – 01 Post

  • Education: Matriculation (10th) or equivalent.
  • Apprenticeship: Must have served as an apprentice for at least 4 years in a reputable firm or Govt. establishment.
  • Experience: 2 years of practical experience in installation/maintenance of Diesel Generator Sets, Air Compressors, or Battery Chargers.
  • Age Limit: 21 – 30 years.

2. Navigational Assistant Grade-III – 02 Posts

  • Education: * Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 2 years of experience in DG Sets/Air Compressors.
    • OR Diploma in Electronics / Telecommunication / Electrical & Electronics from a recognized institution.
  • Age Limit: 18 – 27 years.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on a multi-stage process:

  1. Application Scrutiny: Initial filtering of offline forms.
  2. Written Examination: Eligible candidates will be called for a written test (dates to be notified via email/post).
  3. Trade Test / Skill Test: To evaluate practical technical hand-on skills.
  4. Document Verification & Medical: Final stage before provisional appointment.

  2. Fill in the details accurately in block letters.
  3. Attach Self-Attested copies of:

    • ID Proof (Aadhar/Voter ID).
