Job Description
KPMG Global Services (KGS) is hiring for the position of Analyst – Non-life (General Insurance) within its Actuarial Services team in Bangalore.
The selected candidate will work as part of a professional actuarial team supporting KPMG member firms, primarily in the UK and US markets. Job Responsibilities
The selected Analyst will be responsible for:
- Working as an integral member of the actuarial services team.
- Analysing historical claims data to identify trends, patterns and potential issues.
- Preparing documentation based on actuarial analysis and findings.
- Developing MS Excel-based actuarial tools.
- Using triangulation techniques for estimating outstanding loss reserves.
- Supporting actuarial audits and Statement of Actuarial Opinions (SAO).
- Reviewing data, methodologies, assumptions and actuarial results.
- Comparing results with previous-year figures and client results.
- Reviewing non-life insurance pricing models.
- Supporting bespoke actuarial modelling assignments.
- Assisting with Solvency II technical provisions and Economic Balance Sheet reviews.
- Validating consistency across regulatory submissions.
- Supporting clients with new regulatory requirements such as Solvency II and IFRS.
- Providing transaction and due diligence support.
- Supporting actuarial system transformation projects.
- Assisting with Economic Capital-related actuarial reviews.
- Preparing clear commentary on analytical findings and results.
- Preparing summary reports for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Supporting senior team members with day-to-day management activities and MI reporting.
- Participating actively in engagement team meetings.
- Communicating with engagement managers, directors and partners of the onshore team.
- Providing regular project updates and discussing potential issues with stakeholders.
