As Deputy Manager – Debt Management Services (SME) at Bajaj Finance you will be responsible for achieving assigned branch collections targets within cost limits, monitoring performance, ensuring statutory and legal compliance during recovery and repossession activities, and managing escalations. This role requires strong analytical and reporting skills as well as coordination with internal teams and external vendors.
Responsibilities
Achieve collections targets through customer visits and agency coordination.
Monitor operational performance against KPIs and provide regular updates and reports.
Ensure all recovery and repossession activities comply with legal and regulatory guidelines.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, case status and resolutions.
Manage daily DRR (Daily Risk Report) and track Case-to-Case progress to meet AOP timelines.
Handle escalations promptly to resolve complex or sensitive cases.
Develop and implement strategies to improve collection rates and reduce delinquencies.
Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders for efficient portfolio management.
Prepare MIS and dashboards for trend analysis and senior management reporting.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Any Graduate; post-graduation is an advantage.
Relevant experience in debt collection, recovery management, or related operations preferred.
Good understanding of regulatory requirements related to collections and repossession.
Strong analytical skills, experience with MIS reporting and dashboard creation.
Ability to manage vendors, lead small teams, and coordinate with multiple internal stakeholders.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Nice to Have
Prior experience in SME lending or secured/unsecured loan recovery.
Familiarity with CRM and collections management systems.
Exposure to vendor management and process improvement initiatives.
